CSM Nikia P. Haynes

Command Sergeant Major Nickia P. Haynes was born in Kaiserslautern, Germany, and has lived in various places around the world.  He enlisted in the Army from Honolulu, Hawaii, on June 26, 1993.  He attended Basic Training at Fort Jackson, South Carolina, and Advanced Individual Training as a Unit Supply Specialist at Fort Lee, Virginia.

His past assignments include 1-507th Infantry Regiment (Airborne), Fort Benning, Georgia; 728th Military Police Battalion, Camp Walker, Republic of Korea; 4th Psychological Operations Group and U.S. Army Special Operations Command, Fort Bragg, North Carolina; 5th Quartermaster Detachment (Airborne), Kaiserslautern, Germany; 1-28th Infantry Regiment, Fort Jackson, South Carolina; and Joint Readiness Training Center (Operations Group) and D Field Support Command, 3-89th Cavalry Regiment, Fort Polk, Louisiana.  He then served in the 196th Infantry Brigade, Fort Shafter, Hawaii; Logistic Noncommissioned Officers Academy (LNCOA), Fort Lee, Virginia; 82nd Brigade Support Battalion, Fort Bragg, North Carolina; and 11th Armored Cavalry Regiment, National Training Center, Fort Irwin, California. He assumed his present duties July 23, 2020.

Command Sergeant Major Haynes has served in various leadership positions from Squad Leader, Senior Drill Sergeant, First Sergeant, Assistant Commandant of the LNCOA, to Command Sergeant Major, 82nd BSB, and Regimental Support Squadron at Fort Irwin, California. 

His military education includes the Joint Logistics Course, Individual Terrorism Awareness Course (INTAC), Air Load Planners Course, Air Assault School, Pathfinder School, Jumpmaster School, Drill Sergeant School, Basic and Advanced Noncommissioned Officer Courses, First Sergeants Course, Sustainment Pre-Command Course, Battalion Pre-Command Course, How the Army Runs Course, and the U.S. Army Sergeants Major Academy Class No. 64.

His awards and decorations include the Bronze Star Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Joint Meritorious Unit Award and Army Superior Unit Award. He also holds the Combat Action Badge, Air Assault Badge, Pathfinder Badge, Master Parachutist Badge, French Master Parachutist Badge, and German, Italian, and Canadian Parachutist Badges. CSM Haynes is the recipient of the Order of the Spurs and the prestigious Distinguished Order of Saint Martin.
