History
This unit was constituted July 11, 1942, in the Army of the United States as the 287th Signal Company, Amphibian, and activated July 13, 1942, at Camp Edwards, Massachusetts.
It was redesignated as the 287th Signal Company on May 10, 1943.
On August 1, 1952, the unit was allotted to the Regular Army.
On July 25, 1955, the unit was inactivated in Japan.
Activated October 16, 1992, in Japan
