Assistant Chief of Staff, G-4 (Logistics)

Serves as the Logistics Staff Advisor for the Commanding General, U.S. Army Japan and I Corps (Forward) on all matters pertaining to supply, maintenance, transportation, services and logistics planning. Responsible for bilateral logistics training with the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force. Coordinates and maintains open dialogue with U.S. Forces Japan, U.S. Army Pacific, 8th Theater Sustainment Command and U.S. Pacific Command as required. Provides assistance in the development of regional logistics plans and policy. Develops bilateral relationships with the Japan Ground Staff Office logistics departments and service schools. Represents U.S. Army component in all matters pertaining to logistics with the Government of Japan at both local and national level. Conducts unilateral and bilateral logistics planning and organizational requirements for operations, contingencies, and exercises. Coordinates logistics issues, scenarios, and external evaluations for command-sponsored exercises, and participates in command post and field training exercises, as required.
