901st Military Police Detachment

The 901st Military Police Detachment was originally constituted in the Republic of Korea with one sergeant first class and one staff sergeant. On October 15, 2012, the detachment was activated on Camp Zama, Japan, to serve as a medium sized military working dog kennel. The detachment is comprised of six patrol explosive detector dog teams, three patrol dog detection dog teams, a kennel master, and a training and plans noncommissioned officer. The detachment has provided security support for the President of the United States, Secretary of Defense and other key governmental leaders during its time at Camp Zama. The detachment has also supported the Global War on Terrorism with deployments to Qatar and Afghanistan.
