Sergeant First Class Vega currently serves as the 10th Support Group Ammunition Depot NCOIC located on mainland (Honshu) Japan.

Sergeant First Class Cristina Vega is a native of Brownsville, Texas and has lived in various places around the world.  She enlisted in the Army from Wichita, Kansas 19 April 2006.  She attended Basic Training at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri and Advanced Individual Training as an Ammunition Specialist at Redstone Arsenal, Alabama.

Her past assignments include 3rd Armored Calvery Regiment, Fort Cavazos, Texas; 205th Modular Ordnance Detachment, JBER, Alaska; 192nd Ordnance Battalion (EOD), Fort Liberty, North Carolina; 16th Ordnance Battalion, Fort Gregg-Adams, Virginia; 664th Ordnance Company, Fort Cavazos, Texas; 10th SG Ammunition Depot, Hiroshima, Japan.

Sergeant First Class Vega has served in various leadership positions from Senior Ammunition Inspector/Ammo Depot NCOIC, Drill Sergeant, Platoon Sergeant, Squad Leader, and Section Chief.

Her military education includes the Senior Leader Course (SLC), Equal Opportunity Leader Course, Enlisted Joint Professional Military Education (EJPME), Senior Enlisted Joint Professional Military Education (SEJPME), Master Resiliency Training and Technical Transportation of Hazardous Material.

Her awards and decorations include the Combat Action Badge, Army Commendation Medal (5 OLC), Army Achievement Medal (6 OLC), National Defense Service Medal, Iraqi Campaign Medal (2 CS), and Drill Sergeant Badge. SFC Vega is designated by the International Society of Logistics (SOLE) as a Demonstrated Senior Logistician.

Sergeant First Class Vega has two daughters, Dominica Loredo and Crystal Vega.
