Mission

  1. Engineer, install, operate, and maintain Department of Defense Information Network – Army Pacific (DoDIN-AP) to 12 locations across Okinawa and Guam
  2. Support Land Mobile Radio (LMR) network
  3. Provide worldwide High Frequency (HF) radio coverage via Military Auxiliary Radio System (MARS) station.

History

The unit was constituted May 20, 1943, in the Army of the United States as the 349th Signal Company, Wing, and activated June 1, 1943, at Pinedale, California.

On March 25, 1946, the unit was inactivated in Japan.

On October 16, 1992, the unit was reactivated in Japan and redesignated as the 349th Signal Company concurrently allotted to the Regular Army.
