Q: I am in the National Guard. Can I participate in this program?

A: You need to transfer into the IRR, then from the IRR you can join the DIMA program

Q: How can I add official documents to my iPERMS?

A: DIMA Soldiers should scan documents to be added their iPERMS and e-mail them to their career manager at HRC. Officers can find their career manager contacts here (https://www.hrc.army.mil/site/Reserve/contact_stl/officer-contacts.htm), and Enlisted Soldiers can find their career manager contacts here (https://www.hrc.army.mil/site/Reserve/contact_stl/enlisted-contacts.htm).

Q: What do I need to know about Servicemembers' & Veterans' Group Life Insurance. For example, when am I covered?

A: Please refer to the Department of Veterans Affairs site for questions regarding SGLI. Most DIMA Reserve Soldiers are covered by SGLI year-round.

Q: What does my new unit patch look like and where can I get one?

A: Here are the patches for Soldiers assigned to U.S. Army Japan (USARJ) at Camp Zama and U.S. Forces Japan (USFJ) at Yokota Air Base. Enlisted Soldiers can acquire their patches through HHC USARJ or the Reserve Components Office, and Commissioned Officers can buy their patches online or at a military clothing sales store.

Q: I am in the Inactive Ready Reserve (IRR). What am I required to do for duty?

A: The IRR is transitioning to become the Individual Warrior (IW) program and all Soldiers will be required to Muster. Soldiers will recieve a packet of information such as this. More information can be found on HRC's website here: https://www.hrc.army.mil/site/Reserve/soldierservices/programs/irr.htm. You should also review the IRR Soldiers' Orientation Handbook.
