Kure has something for everyone. If you like to shop, head down to the covered shopping area, the Rengadori, and browse Howdy, Popollo and Izumi Department Stores, as well as many small specialty shops. Sogo Department Store by the train station is also fun. It has eight floors, but is a little pricey. Most fun are the numerous 100 yen shops. These are much better in quality than dollar stores. Great place for dishes, office supplies and gifts for family.
