TEAM 58 NEC SERVICES
WE PROVIDE THE FOLLOWING SERVICES TO THE ARMY ON OKINAWA.
Telephone Control Office (TCO)
Provides official government telephone service to All Army on Okinawa on Army, Air Force, and Marines installations. Serves as liaison between commercial
vendors and performs billing function for commercial government cell phones operational control and life-cycle management for government cellular phones.
Other services include commercial local and long distance, Defense Switch Network (DSN) incoming and outgoing service for local users and supports and maintains
digital switches. Unit telephone control officers may submit DA Form 3938 (Local Service Request) to add, modify, or delete a telecommunication service.
Individual customers may report problems directly through 641-HELP.
Automation Services (IT Helpdesk)
Provides computer and data network support. Responds to trouble calls involving hardware and software problems, network connectivity, setup of new computer
systems, and installation of the latest versions of software. Troubleshoots and resolves computer problems on the Okinawa LandWarNet. The IT Helpdesk provides
baseline image service to Army customers. System Administration Services to include TSACS, VPN, and special permissions account management and tracking End User
Licenses (ELA) for the Okinawa LandWarNet. Information Management Officers (IMO) or individual customers may report problems through the NEC Call Center
641-HELP.
Regional Network Operation Security Center (RNOSC)
The The Okinawa RNOSC manages, coordinates and optimizes data networks and administers network security. The RNOSC is responsible for the prompt restoration of
functional requirements when operations are interrupted. Restoration actions include dynamic and manual alternate routing of network traffic, troubleshooting,
and repairing critical components. The RNOSC core functions include NIPRNET and SIPRNET network and Systems Administration, AMHS message handling, Network
Architecture, and Web Server administration. Information Management Officers (IMO) or individual customers may report problems through the NEC Call Center
