Command Sergeant Major

Command Sergeant Major Ron J. Joshua was born in New Orleans, Louisiana and entered the United States Army in January 1986. He attended Basic Training at Fort Dix, New Jersey and Advanced Individual Training at Fort Lee, Virginia. CSM Joshua has served in every leadership position from Squad Leader to Command Sergeant Major. CSM Joshua currently serves as the Command Sergeant Major, 35th Combat Sustainment Support Battalion, Sagami Depot, Japan.

Command Sergeant Major Joshua's career consists of various duty positions and assignments throughout the continental United States and overseas to include: Automated Specialist, 75th General Supply Company, Nurnberg, Germany; Automated Logistics Sergeant/Squad Leader, 558th Transportation Company, Fort Eustis, Virginia; Automated Logistics Sergeant, Echo Company, 123rd Main Support Battalion, Mainz, Germany; Warehouse Supervisor/Platoon Sergeant, Alpha Company, 704th Main Support Battalion, Fort Hood, Texas; Quality Inspector, Forward Area Inspection Team (FAIT), Headquarters, Materiel Support Center-Korea (MSC-K), Camp Casey, Korea; Platoon Sergeant, Operations Sergeant, and First Sergeant, Headquarters and Alpha Company, 426th Forward Support Battalion, Fort Campbell, Kentucky; First Sergeant, Alpha Company, 426th Brigade Support Battalion, Fort Campbell, Kentucky (Command Sergeant Major Joshua served two combat tours with the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault)); Operations Sergeant, Manpower and Force Management Division, United States Army Sustainment Command, Rock Island, Illinois; Division Special Troops Battalion S3 Sergeant Major, 2nd Infantry Division, Camp Red Cloud, Korea; Command Sergeant Major for the Logistics Task Force 35 (LTF 35), Operation Tomodachi, Japan.

Command Sergeant Major Joshua's military education includes the Primary Leadership Development Course, Basic Noncommissioned Officer Course, Advanced Noncommissioned Officer Course, First Sergeant Course, Security Management Course, Planning Program Budget and Execution Course, Manpower and Force Management Course, Contracting Officer Representative Course, Joint Logistics Course, United States Army Sergeants Major Academy (Class 59), Pre-Command/Command Sergeants Major Course, and the Air Assault Course.

Command Sergeant Major Joshua's awards and decorations include the Bronze Star Medal, Meritorious Service Medal (2nd OLC), Army Commendation Medal (3rd OLC), Army Achievement Medal (4th OLC), Army Good Conduct Medal (8th award), National Defense Service Medal with bronze star, Iraq Campaign Medal with two bronze stars, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Korean Defense Service Medal, Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal, NCO Professional Development Ribbon with numeral four, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon with numeral four, and the Meritorious Unit Commendation. CSM Joshua has been awarded the Combat Action badge, Air Assault badge, Drivers/Mechanic badge, and the Distinguished Order of Saint Martin.
