Mission Statement

The mission of the United States Army Japan Band is primarily to promote and maintain community relations with the Japanese people through musical performance activities. The band supports the morale and esprit-de-corps of troops by performing at military formations, recreational functions, and by presenting formal concerts. Bands are trained and equipped to defend themselves and may temporarily perform local security missions when required by tactical situation.
